Mr. Phil Mc Grath & Mr. Frank Russo

Welcome to Limitless Karate

The stylish 3,600 square foot studio is located in a tranquil mountain setting in a beautiful, brand new shopping mall in Calabasas.

This state-of-the-art facility has two mats which allow for students to train all day long every day if wanted. Students can hold private lessons, work on their karate, stretch, etc. and create great relationships at all hours of the day . . . even while classes are being held on the extraordinary main mat.

The mats are one inch thick and both of them have two different colors marking the separate fighting rings on each of the mats. The mats, punching bags and mirrors were chosen to support every aspect of martial arts and overall fitness conditioning.

The studio also includes spectator seating, making it inviting for visitors to watch their family and friends….And, there’s plenty of parking!

Grand Master, Phil Mc Grath’s, passion for martial arts started at the age of 15. By age 20, he received his black belt in Korean American Tang Soo Do and started teaching as the head instructor for Tom Bloom Karate. By 21, he purchased the Tom Bloom Karate Thousand Oaks Studio where he successfully taught and operated the school for 5 years. During this time he coached a fight team made up of 14 guys and 5 girls. This team was known as The Lost Boys and they dominated the tournament circuit locally all the way up to internationally.

Grand Master Mc Grath then branched out into private instruction while still competing in fighting and accumulating many titles including All Valley, Regional, State, National, and International Fighting Champion many times over.

He earned a spotlight in Black Belt magazine for winning in the Hawaii Festival of The Kings Karate Championship and has also appeared in Martial Arts Training magazine.

Grand Master Mc Grath's greatest joy is watching the growth of his students. He has taught hundreds of students over the past 34 years from the ages of 3.5 years old all the way up to 73! Grand Master Mc Grath has also taught everyone from autistic children and teens to police officers and Navy Seals to training women of all ages in self-defense.

Phil Mc Grath obtained his 8th-degree black belt in 2017 which is considered the rank of Grand Master.
