Master McGrath

Grand Master Phil Mc Grath’s martial arts journey began at 14, earning his black belt by 20 and an 8th degree at 47.

From owning his own karate school in his 20’s to partnering in Limitless Karate with Frank Russo, his impact spans decades.

With 39 years of fighting tournaments, Grand Master Mc Grath’s martial arts skills led to many titles across the U.S. and Mexico, spotlighted in Black Belt magazine and Martial Arts Training magazine. He was rated as the #1 heavyweight by both NASKA and SCKL.

His greatest fulfillment? Witnessing students’ growth in their martial arts and their growth as individuals - spanning ages 4 to 77. He has taught hundreds of students over 36 years and has had and continues to have – quite a few fighters who dominate the karate tournament circuit and that are becoming fighting champions.

Master Russo

Master Frank Russo started his career in martial arts as a competitive wrestler from fifth grade through his senior year of high school. He has since competed on and off through the years in martial arts’ tournaments throughout California, Nevada, and Mexico.

Russo was rated the #1 fighter by the North American Sport Karate Association (NASKA) and by the Southern California Karate League (SCKL). His other titles include two-time International Fighting Champion, taking first place at the Ed Parker Long Beach Internationals and the Mexico Internationals held in Tijuana, Mexico. He also obtained regional and local titles at the individual and team level.

Beyond martial arts, he’s dedicated over 15 years to coaching youth sports, including varsity wrestling at WHS and youth and high school softball in Westlake Agoura Girls Softball.
