Step into our 3600 square foot karate studio in Calabasas. Enjoy spectator seating for family and friends and there’s always plenty of parking. It’s a stunning space with 2 mats, punching bags and mirrors designed for martial arts. Located in a new mall on Las Virgenes Rd, just a mile north off the 101 freeway. Grand Master Phil Mc Grath’s martial arts journey began at 14, earning his black belt by 20 and an 8th degree at 47.
From owning his own karate school in his 20’s to partnering in Limitless Karate, his impact spans decades.
With 37 years of fighting tournaments on and off, Grand Master Mc Grath’s martial arts skill led to many titles across the U.S. and Mexico, spotlighted in Black Belt magazine and Martial Arts Training Magazine.
He along with his partner was rated number one by NASKA and SCKL, but as a heavy weight. That just means being rated in two known karate leagues. His greatest fulfillment? Witnessing students’ growth spanning ages 4 to 73, teaching hundreds over 39 years.
Phil Mc Grath
Grand Master - 8th Degree Black Belt
Master Frank Russo earned his black belt in 1992 and attained his sixth-degree black belt in 2022.
His martial arts experience started with wrestling beginning in 5th grade, extending through his senior year of high school.
Known as a great fighter in tournament fighting, he dominated in California, Nevada and Mexico while being rated number 1 by NASKA and SCKL as a lightweight, and he locked down an international title in both countries.
Beyond martial arts, he’s dedicated over 15 years to coaching youth sports, including varsity wrestling at WHS and youth softball in Westlake Agoura Girls Softball and has had various rolls in High School softball programs as well.
